Anyone buying WSB2K3 just to have a fun baseball game?

I'm not worried about Franchise or updated rosters/etc. I just want a fun game. Anyone else have this mindset?

I want a good Franchise mode for lasting appeal, but, yes, my number one concern is getting a game that will be fun to play. What is the point otherwise?

I want realism. I want so much realism that I go 62-100 with the cubs. I dont wanna have fun, I wanna play baseball. I want my 5th starting pitcher to get blasted by whoever. I wanna lose my star player to a season ending injury. I wanna get fired in the middle of my season for betting against my team. I wanna have my 9th batter in my lineup bat .190 for the season. Thats not fun, thats baseball.

I'm kidding to an extent, but I really love realistic simulations. Of course its not about what I want, but if I cant get what I want, theres always BB Pro 98.

I got HH, kinda big fan, but WSB just may be my time, I dunno yet, you know what I am saying, I am thinking of taking back HH to get WSB, man this is rough, I dont know what to do

That's exactly why i'm buying this game! I'm a realism nut too, but i have other games to take care of that. I don't mind if WSB isn't AS realistic as long as it's a blast to play.

Well, I'm with you on the fun thing. I don't care about stats. I'll play franchise mode but I'll let the CPU do the dirty work. Only thing is, I think I'm going with MVP. I don' know, just looking at the tutorial movies on the EASports site, it seems like it's more fun than WSB.

I think MVP will be more fun for two players what with the meters and all- i am not sure how much fun it will be against the computer- i guess it depends on how good the CPU is at using the meter- if the CPU uses it at all. .
