Hot / Cold Zones

I keep seeing posts that speak of these hot / cold zones.

How do I view these during the game (or anywhere for that matter)?

    I'm playing the ps2 version.

Click the right thumbstick and then press square (I think). When you press the right thumbstick, you should get a second menu in place of your pitch options.

Does this also require me to pat my head and rub my belly (all at the same time)?

I swear this game has so many options!!!

Regardless of where the zones can be found, I do know that Mike Piazza's hot zone is located on 100 percent of the screen. . . . I couldn't get anything by him. . . . 5 homers in a 3 game set against me

        Thanks for the help.

I had luck with Wood against Piazza by keeping the ball down and away, and mixing in some offspeed.. Induced two ground balls to short. Then I tried to paint the "up & in" corner with a fastball. 450 feet later, the Mets has a 3 run lead.

Since I started applying this, its worked for me.

Fast pitches in, slow pitches out, breaking pitches going away from hot spots.

I suggest a 4-seam fastball since you could trick batters by starting at the lower end of the zone, then rises up back to the zone. Only if the batter has a low cold zone. Changeup's are good away, but you can gamble inside sometimes.

Breaking pitches are hard to explain, try to make the pitch start on the batter's hot spot, but end up either out of the zone, or into the cold spot.

This is working for me. Haven't given up a dinger in a while, and I've been getting five plus K's a game.
