Possible AI problem..anyone have this experience?

I'm not one to call out a manufacturer if there's a bug. Normally, I can look past such problems as the "vacuum" effect and even errant baserunning. However, last night I was engaged in a 20 inning game with the Mets. I was playing with the Cardinals and by the time the game had ended, I had used up all my relievers plus a starter, Matt Morris. The Mets also used up all their relievers and while they used them strategically throughout the game, they used them up rather quickly. They were down to their last reliever (Strickland) by the 13th inning and he ended up pitching the rest of the game. Now, he would have his bouts of wildness here and there, but by the 15th inning he had absolutely no stamina left. Still, he was throwing in the high eighties to low nineties and painting the corner. He would walk a batter here and there, but the computer made no attempt to bring in a starting pitcher. I was a bit suprised by this and really made me feel as though there was some kind of AI screw up. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hehe, if it got the that point I would not even waste one of my starters, I would bring in one of my bench guys to pitch . Not sure if you can do it unless you pinch hit for a pitcher, but it is fun to pitch a litle with Mo Vaughn. He did get hit pretty hard though
