I had 6 errors in my first game, no big deal, but on one error I threw the ball in the dugout and the game cut back to the pitching interface, no time for the runners to advance. i'm thinking what is this crap. Another instance I am running to make a catch and I dive. Well I miss the ball and the announcer says the guy looks hurt, the ball rolls to the wall in fair territory and this would easily be a inside teh park homer, but no, the screen cuts to the pitcher interface and the runner stays on second. That is crap. Also every time you check swing the ump calls for an appeal, every time. Also the game is slow, it just feels like your in slow mo the whole time. I had asb 2003 and I stopped playing it cause it was homer happy, but asb 2004 feels like the same package w/ updated rosters. The vaccum effects are still in the game big time, and so are the over the shoulder catches.
I am willing to get give it more time but man it is hard to do. I do like the facts that the game has errors, I over threw the catcher , bobbled a line drive, over threw 3rd base and dropped a pop fly. The game just needs a little tunning option, like to spped up the fielders and the feel of the game. Also work on the dive button, by the time u press it the ball has passed u up. I know I'm griping but I just feel like I wasted 45 bucks on this game and I like HH better when I played it in the store, just a better feel to it, any way I think I'm going to trade asb for wsb.
