Yep I am using zone with exagerated pitches and this is one sweet game. I am getting very realistic scores. This is just one beautiful game of baseball. I bought High Heat yesterday and I haven't even played it yet because I just found out about using zone batting with exagerated pitches. I played six games today and I don't even know if I need High Heat now not to knock High Heat.

I've been using zone batting w/ exaggerated pitches for about 32 games now and I have yet to hit one down either line. I don't think I've hit one yet to either the 1st baseman or the 3rd baseman.

The game is giving me good numbers but it's hard to live with some of the on the field quirks of this game. It's too bad cause I really like the game as a whole but Acclaim needs to tighten up the gameplay next year and leave the feature set alone.

I just know that instead of tuning the gameplay next year they'll probably throw in some feature where we can play games on the moon or something. Hey, that might not be such a bad idea. Let's see.....1/8th the gravity of Earth...... intriguing.

I haven't gotten any hits down the lines but I have had a bloop to the third baseman tonight that almost fell in behind him for a hit. I get lots of hits into the alleys. I was wondering if where the ball is hit to has anything to do with that batters hitting tendencys or not. I admit it is a little weak on the hits down the lines but overall the gameplay is so enjoyable and the graphics are so good that I am having more fun playing this game than any baseball game I have ever played. It just has the look and feel of real baseball to me and the franchise mode is very good. I popped in High Heat just for a look at it and the graphics are so bad compared to ASB that I couldn't even stand it and I was one of those people always defending the gameplay over graphics but the games I am playing with ASB are giving me great gameplay and realistic statistics. Now I can see why people were so concerned about each players individual batting stances etc. ASB has these down perfectly.

I'll just copy this from my reply in another thread...Djep, I know how you feel.

I've had it for over a week, and I've played a good 20-30 games so far.

The more I play, the more I notice lots of cool ittle things like runner taking out the 2B to break up a double play. BUT, I've also noticed something that is ruining the game for me.

ALL of my hits (and outs) go to the center 1/3 of the field. I've tried both zone and classic batting and it happens in both. Also, with zone hitting I can't even foul a ball off. I either whiff at it or it goes somewhere towards the middle of the field. After 20+ games you'd think by sheer chance I would have hit at pulled or pushed a ball ONCE.

I'm just about done playing this one. Onto HH or WSB for me...

                -Matt
