You know, I wish someone would post the location where Sega is giving away copies of WSB. Obviously, they only make games to put smiles on our faces. They're not a corporation, creating free agents for their games using IGN editors' names. They're not charging $50 a shot either. It's just big evil EA that's in this to make money and provide PR to sell their product. So, how about it? Where do I contact Sega for my free copy of the ultra-colorful, every player is shaped the same WSB, that features veteran catchers easily beating out routine double play balls? And of course, the reply will come that WSB has sliders that can be used to fix this. Good thing Sega fans will have ample time on their hands, to edit every player that does some incredible feat that their real-life counterpart cannot do. MVP isn't perfect, and has some of the same problems I mentioned above, but let's get real. Corporations are all the same in this respect= They ALL want your money, and use PR. And anyone who can't see THAT....may want to come with the rest of us to the eye doctor.

I've wanted MVP for a while now, and I'll still be getting it tomorrow. It's no secret that the pitcher/batter interface is what's selling the game. First, the idea of another cursor-based game is totally frustrating. Anyone who has played Netamin's Baseball HR Game will understand this. Second, the guys from EA are right. Any cursor-based game is unrealistic from the real game AND they have to slow down the pitch speed so you can react. I like the idea of timing based hitting and relying on the player stats and D-pad to try and hit. Third, the pitching interface, albeit like playing a golf game, is revolutionary and like others have said, should change the way bbgames are made. There is a risk/reward method that is very realistic and apparently results in very accurate pitch counts. This in itself is enough to sell me the game even if fielding, running, diving, and even manager moves were automated. No, it won't be perfect, but neither will any other game. MVP gets my money this year.
