Why do devs continue to leave out fundamental parts of a gameplay engine?

After reading IGN's review I can say that the fielding in MVP is pretty much going to suck , and suck bad. Is it really that hard to have a good fielding engine? I mean hell all I want is total control over my men... It seems that every year some games with great ideas just completely suck in the fielding department.

One again have you played the game.

It's a review and just an opinion from one organization. Is there going ot be problems in the game maybe, maybe not. But this tuesday evening it's still unknown to what extent this problem occurs of it's user induced.

can i remind another poster that you haven't even played the game yet and neither have most of the people posting here. IGN has bad reviews of all there games. i'll bet next week at this time your opinions will change. you may be right though cause i havent' played yet. i'm betting that mvp will be those most fun game on the market even if it has slight flaws like too many stitches on the baseball or other crap people are complaining about.

then again Steve never mentioned this from the 85% build so I think the reviewer over dramatized it, like it happened right before he wrote the review and caused him to lose and it was the first time ever so he was angry while he wrote it because he still did give gameplay a 9 and if it was that bad he would have made it less
