Pujols is on fire, we still have half our rotation on the DL, The dbacks lose 9-1 and other teams in the NL central just cannot string wins together.
Anyone else think the Cards could be 8-10 games ahead in no time?
In closing the Cubs have been playing some nice baseball I think it could be theirs in 09 and thats coming from a Cards fan

No they will not remain at the top of the standings. Looper, Lohse, and Wellemeyer will eventually begin pitching like they are supposed to and the Cards will fall back to .500.

Don't worry if the pitching rotation does have its problems we have Carpenter and Mulder on the D.L, they will be ready by then

Well you say that but I dont think there as good as the Dodgers if Webb was to get injured then Arizona will have serious problems.

Well you say that but I dont think there as good as the Dodgers if Webb was to get injured then Arizona will have serious problems.

That's like saying if Pujols got hurt St. Louis would be in serious trouble.

Not to mention Haren, Johnson and the rest of that rotation are pretty good, and top to bottom the D-Backs lineup is better than the Cards.

I am expecting nothing from Mulder. I think Mulder actually has a greater chance of hurting this team than helping it. Our start to the season has been impressive but the Cards will not get the best record. I think they have a shot at the Central or Wild Card, but I think it will be close.

They probably won't keep it up, but then again I doubt many people thought St. Louis was good enough to be nine games over .500 at any point during the season.

I for one did not see this coming AT ALL. I am a bit optimistic now though. Our offensive production has been about what I expected(not much), but our pitching has been phenomenal. I really don't know if we can sustain this great start, but I sure am hoping so.

I'm not really expecting anything from Mulder either, but we'll have to see.

I really don't like all these SUPPOSED Cardinal fans who are saying they are the best. I really don't like it when people do that for any team, but especially for the team I am a fan of.

You Cards fans are going crazy. I am quickly growing a hatred for the Cards more than the Yanks, Phils, Indians, Mets, Sox (both), Tigers, Pirates, D-Backs, Giants, Rangers, A's, Cubs, and Angles. So you cards fans have worked your way into that list. I actually would rather see the cubs win at this point and that is saying a lot.
