SO, you're right, I can't explain that, either. I just ran a test, though, and there is no doubt in my mind (for whatever that's worth) that's it 720p. I went into the dashboard and turned off 720p support. Then I started up the game and it was a huge difference. From a 10 to a 7 in the graphics department, maybe even a 6. It's a tremendous difference. The player overlays that they dispay during the walkup were much bigger in 480p than in 720p as well. Also, when 720p is enabled in the dashboard, the master menu actualy displayed in 4x3 and has black bars on either side--it almost look like 480i, actually. When only 480p is enabled, it fills the screen.

My set doesn't upconvert a 480p signal to 720p, so I'm sure that's not what's happening. Maybe Fat Pitcher could tell us why they didn't list it. It's a huge difference, though--I can't even begin to tell you how spectacular it looks.

Maybe later I can take some pictures with my digital camera. If somebody can explain how I post a picture, I'll try to put them up later.

Thanks Bill. I actually read in another thread that WSB runs in 720p from someone who's set actully displays what resolution it's running in.

I am very excited to see it. Can't wait to get home today !!!

Yes, it has 720p support. The packaging was probably done early on when we didn't know for sure that the game would ship with it.

Support for 720p is in there. I know cuz my HDTV cannot handle it natively, nor does it upconvert... Took me a second to figure out why my screen was blank, but sound was working.

We would have had to have separate menu screens for that resolution, but since it was added so late, we didn't have time to convert them all (200+ screens). So it's normal. Not ideal, but it's not a problem with your setup.

just wondering i'm new here
i loved last years game for about 5 games then realized walking was impossible and returned it
is it fixed?
if you are a dev, why don't you guys put the old world series cursors from the genesis
back in they were awesome and to this day the only curoe game i loved!
they were like a bat and changed depending on lefty righty and hitters capability?
