One thing I DID notice....
When you set up your franchise and choose to GM all teams, Injuries automatically default to off. Why would this be the case? I don't get the connection. I wanted to GM all teams just to make simulated trades, but I also like dealing with injuries that only occur within my season. Guess there are not too many people who play this way.

That's kinda dumb. I'm not sure about the lack of injuries though. I don't think I've been around to see any of them.

Injuries are rare...unless you get beaned by a 4 seam to the face you're probably not going to see any....that's my assumption thus far.

The injury wire has tons of injuries....most teams have 3-4 on average at this point.....my team has ZERO....If I sim forward for a few weeks I'll definately see injuries...but nothing has happened in games I've played. I'm guessing that the computer generates more injuries when you sim and when you play it just doesn't happen much, if ever......

Not that it's the same as franchise but a friend and I were playing an exhibition game and I lost Robbie Alomar to a broken leg (hit by pitch) and Roger Cedeno (seperated shoulder on a belly-flop attempt at a liner) in one game. Both injuries in my franchise occured in simmed games, however.

I have played all the games so far......so it looks like what you are saying makes sense...there are injuries for other teams showing up on the wire....and now that I think of it...not only have I not had any injuries....there have been no in game injuries by my opponents so far....I guess I'll have to start another franchise and just sim to get a truer test of how I can build a team......and maybe I'll start doing some simming in my Cubs franchise....I guess it's doubtful I would have played them all anyway....thanks for the input
