Before complaining, I usually like to check the manual:

        </font><blockquote><font class="small">Quote:</font><hr />
In most situations, when an outfielder throws a ball, the ball will first travel near the glove of a cut-off man (or relay man) while the ball's on the way toward the base.b To cut the ball off and throw to a different base, press the buttin of the base you wish to throw to ... but make sure you press the button BEFORE the ball reaches the cut-off man ... If you'd like to cut the ball and hold it, pull either trigger.

Yeah, I was going to say that maybe it was in the manual.

Nah it was quicker for him to come on here and take the time to type it out to get an answer.

Man, give him a break guys . . . it's not easy to find in the manual.

You can cut the ball and hold it by pulling either trigger. Or, you can cut the ball and throw it to a base or home plate simply by pressing the corresponding button (y for second, b for first, etc.)
