You also stole my point. Why should they not focus on the Sox tonight when their pitcher just threw a no-hitter?

Congrats to Lester. I'm disappointed I slept through the entire game (got 14 hours of sleep...which doubles the past two nights combined) but I'm sure if I had been watching, he wouldn't have done it.

Well, let's see dk... AFTER being no-hit, team batting average is .259, Yankees is .255. The Royals aren't exactly the Royals of 2-3 years ago anymore.

You mean the Royals team that just took 2 out of 3 from the Marlins?

Ummmm, are you trying to make the point that the Royals offense isn't downright pathetic right now? Because if you are, you failed miserably. The Royals are last in the AL in runs scored (28th overall). They rank the same in OPS.

Getting hits doesnt equal runs. They have more hits than the Yankees. They weren't just shut out, they were NO HIT.

some people are putting way too much analysis into responding to a joke

The royals have been bad for the past twenty years. Their offense blows again this year.

It would be similar to making a joke that an nfl player putting up xxx yards against the cardinals or lions isnt as impressive, even though if you want to nitpick you can find ways to show they arent the absolute worse team at that exact moment in time.
