The pitchers fatique is indicated by the size of the green area on the pitching meter. You'll notice as the game goes on, the green area shrinks, and you have a much harder time with the meter, therefore simulating a much harder time keeping your control. Its so simple yet so ingenius.

I just finished a game in which I fanned 9 A's with Roy Halladay. My previous high had been 3. I think the key was changing how hard/soft I threw my fastball. I managed to get a ton of first-pitch strikes by tossing in fastballs at varying speeds. I usually follow with some breaking stuff on the corners and try to finish the at-bat off with the pitcher's best-rated pitch.

I threw 20 straight pitches on the edge of the strike zone and the CPU didn't bite one time. I was using Pedro. Getting the 1st and 2nd strike isn't a problem. The CPU chases nothing out of the strike zone. Hitting is way to easy, even on All Star. Sliders would have set this game over the top.

If you are blowing this out of proportion (20 straight pitches). Then this might not apply. But, the cpu almost never swings at the first pitch. and the cpu does not swing out of the zone until they get 2 strikes on them. So, you could throw 20 straight pitches outside the zone with God and the cpu would not swing at them.

This game needs a lot of strategy.

By the Way Heelfan.....what is your average runs per game? and on what level? Cause i suck at hitting.

I had a 10K 7inn output from Leiter last night. Im playing on Pro, like most of us.

I think Ive found a way to get K's, and its really simple..........

Work the offspeed pitch. Ive found, If I throw gas at the AI, (which I dont throw in the red area on the meter), and come back with a crazy effective breaking pitch (slider, curve, etc) low edge of the zone, or upper edge of the zone, they swing and miss 80% of the time. Try it, and see if it works for you
