NL West: Worst division in the game?

    It sure looks that way...

Arizona gets blown away in the windy city and stuck in the swamps of Florida...

The Dbacks may sit at or near the top of the standings among all major league teams, but they are beginning to appear to be a paper tiger...the high strikeout numbers for byrnes and young may be catching up with them.

it might be this season, with LA and the D-Backs as the only real competitive teams in the division

Sadly the NL Worst tag will arrive shortly. The bullpen for Rockies has and will continue to be beyond horrible. Nothing else to really say about the teams besides prepare for a long, depressing outlook for now.

No doubt. San Diego is terrible, San Francisco is going to get even worse, and Colorado continues to suck.

Arizona is 20-5 against the NL West...and 8-14 against everyone else.

I doubt anyone is scared of them now since they've started playing games outside of the division.

i am still scared of them...regardless of how weak their competition is, they have a lot of good qualities.
Their starters are going to be good pretty much all year, and when their offense is on, they will win a lot of games.
The fact of the matter is, they will make the playoffs...when put up against any other 3 NL teams, they will have a good shot. If they really lack anything it might be veteran leadership.

At least the Dodgers are doing decent. but i love seeing SF and SD struggling so im ok with the NL Worst name again.

The Dodgers are doing decent right now but unless they get some sort of steady offense they will eventually fade as well.

The NL West is bad, but the AL West is not all that far behind.

Yeah, it's looking like the worst.

I thought it would be one of the more competitive divisions going into the season.

The AL West looks way stronger than the NL West, IMO...Seattle might be stinky, but together with Texas, Anaheim, and Oakland they do not stink as bad as the NLW...

AL West not far behind? I don't think so.

Rockies players are dropping like flies.. Tulowitzki has been out the majority of the season.. Hawpe Barmes and now Holliday go on the DL. Not to mention Hirsh Vizcaino Wells and Speier before them.. That team is a disaster now

Sounds like the Blue Jays of last year. While it's never nice to see a team falling apart like that can happen at any time.

Loser of World Series fail to make the playoffs the next year..atleast thats the way it's been of late.

Rockies horrible season as of now can be credited to the pitching staff; lack of command, focus and the fact the bullpen comes in the 5th inning almost every game.

*Pitching was horrible tonight..again. I turned back to the Celtics/Pistons after Phillies got to 12
