    Hitting Too Easy? Yes/No/Just Right

    Let's hear what everyone thinks.

I find the hitting a little easy. However I've been sitting back on my pictures and waiting for hitters count. My last game was on pro and Randy Johnson kept going down in the count. He must have have a 2-0 count on almost every batter. So in that regard that's pretty realistic. I know when the pitchers is on I tend just to swing at everything because I don't want to strike out and it results in a k.

I don't want to move to all-pro yet because that might mean I'll be winning every game soon after.

    Thoughts on batting and difficulty?

I think it is a lttle below just right. When I played against the Reds I was doing a really good job at the plate, but then when I played against Roger Clemens I had absolutely no plate discipline. He was killing me with changeups on the outside.

Do you just swing or do you try to use the d-pad as well. I am using the d-pad to try and go with the pitch--that adds some difficulty because sometimes you want to drive it to right field to move that runner from second and other times you want to pull the ball with your clean up man. It definitely tests the hand-eye, maybe not as much as a cursor does, but its a lot more difficult than just swinging alone.

I am playing on All-Star and hitting is about right for me. THe good pitchers give me problem, and I do ok against the mediocre pitchers.

I have played 5 or 6 games so far and they have all had a different feel. Lost to the Astros 12-4 with the Angels, and then proceeded to have a 2-1 pitchers duel with the Padres and the Rangers.

I have to say I am really enjoying this game so far.

BK, I just hope that this game doens't get easy since on the first day we move to all-pro.

I wish there was an mvp level...oh well.

This is my fear also JROD. I find hitting pretty challenging on All-Star but hope it doesnt get to easy. As it is now, this game is really holding my attention. So much so, I havent even played more than a couple of innings of WSB. That could change however.

I'm actually having difficulty hitting on Pro. I think I am getting 5-7 hits a game. Thats not bad, but I am not scoring runs. Except the homers I hit with Bonds (he's a god in this game, just like every other game, and just like in real life).

Hitting from an angle is very difficult and that is where my problem is lying. I am not as bad when using the straight away cam, but the game is so much prettier when using the angle cam. Plus, with the angle, it really does give you a lefty vs. lefty disadvantage, etc because its harder to track the flight of the ball when you are batting against a pitcher of the same handedness.

The problem of lack there of is that if I try I can just swing any most any thing and hit it. Of course it might not be a hit but I'm not missing too much.

Maybe we all just need more time.
