Just wanted to know how others were doing in the walks and strikeout department, both as a pitcher and a hitter.
I have played three games so far. First as Kerry Wood I struck out two, BUT it was my first game and the pitching thing felt a little weird to me. The second game I was Pedro Martinez against the Yankees and I struck out 9 in 7 innings. The last game I was the #1 from KC (sorry can't remember the name) ank K'd 5 Tigers in 6 innings. So getting strikeouts seems pretty right on, but I noticed you REALLY have to alter locations and more importantly VELOCITY. If you reel back and fire every fastball, they adjust, but if you simply tap the button and hit the green zone, you will take about 7MPH off the pitch which sometimes is just enough to make them swing through the pitch.
Now on to walks. I can't seem to draw a walk. I get to 3 balls, but just can't seem to get the 4th. Anyone else run into this? Also it seems like the CPU is pretty aggressive at the plate, so I don't walk them unless it's intentional. BTW, is there a way to call an intentional walk or do you have to do it "manually"?
