i have ASB, WSB, and MVP for now and overall All Star baseball blows the other two away in my opinion. Here is my comparison between the three.

Graphics: ASB (a blowout)
Animations: WSB and ASB (tie)
Sound Effects: WSB
Atmosphere: MVP
Pitching Controls: MVP
Hitting Controls: WSB
Franchise Mode: ASB (a blowout)

Adam, you freakin jack$ss. What the hell is your problem? I listed my opinion on what games are better at what (in my opinion) and if you have played ASB, then you can not argue that the franchise, features, and graphics are the best on the market. I know this thread was asking for WSB and MVP, but i thought i would throw in ASB since it is better than both in most ways.

By the way, i am not a casual baseball fan and ive PLAYED baseball my entire life at a high level. Why does it matter if i am a casual baseball fan or not? Who the f*ck are you?

First off both of you 2 need to take a chill pill. Its an opinion bashing the opinionator doesnt need to be happening, especially in the form its being done in.

I for one disagree on the graphics and that WSB is the best of the bunch.

The full features of ASB are nice, but the gameplay still isnt the greatest (IMO). Its been getting better as I change settings, but Ive changed about as much as I can and Im still not completely happy. Not enough variables to keep me wanting to play an entire season, much less franchise. I may use ASB just to sim and micro manage, but after a while that will get old as well. If I really wanted to just sim behind the scenes then I'll just get OOTP for that.

Having not played MVP as of yet I cant completely make a comparison with that, but I can with WSB and ASB and I think WSB is the better of the 2.

Heel, I am curious why you think the Crowd is better in MVP, I really so far enjoyed the crowd in WSB. Especially the hecklers.

Are you serious man? Look ASB does not have the best graphics. It don't even have the 2nd best graphics. It has good player models but nothing even close to WSB 2k3 or MVP. That is just obvious and anyone here will tell you that. As far as the franchise goes ASB's is deep but not nearly as good as WSB 2k3's but maybe better than MVP's. ASB hardly beats these 2 games at anything. The only thing it beats is it's self and needs to beat itself into the ground so we will not have to see this horrible baseball franchise again.

Here's my own rankings

Gameplay-
Batter/Pitcher Interface - MVP
Variety of Hits - WSB ( I've seen almost everything)
Ball Physics - MVP (Simple reason the ball seems to bounce 20 ft in the air in wsb)
Baserunning AI - Tie (Both are pretty good though)
Tactics when Batting/Pitching (MVP a slight nod)

Francise
Total Package - WSB
Managment - WSB
Longevity based on features - WSB

Graphics
Player Animations - Tie (I like both)
Lighteing - WSB (it looks like a sunny day at the park)
Stadiums - MVP (It's completely biased but I like that stadiums)
Menus - MVP (WSB letters and things don't look crisp, personal thing)

Other/Intangibles
Custimization - WSB
Atmosphere - MVP
Fun Factor - MVP (It's just a lot of fun)

Overall - too early to call, they are different monsters and each has their own positives and negatives, it's just a matter of finding when that has the features you are looking for and doesn't upset you.

Graphics-WSB hands down
I think the crowds just killed it for me in mvp
maybe mvp on PC will have better graphics--the xbox version just looked PS2-ish to me--no offense but

Gameplay--i find MVP should have been called LINE DRIVE baseball--way too many
pitcher control is awesome though
WSB more SIM--more to my liking

Franchise-WSB
MVP franchise feature innovative though--key match-ups

Presentation--love espn WSB

I have a feeling Inside Pitch will have the best sounds though--rip own music, better announcer Joe Buck,etc--hopefully one of these franchises will have these next year
