Question about MVP graphics and control

Are the batters really as accurate as ASB (the batters and Expansion were the only reason I played ASB this year).... Mo Vaughn edged over the plate with his huge arm guard, etc?
Is the fielding as bad as some of the sites have suggested?
When you bat, is it just timing or is it like High Heat with a power meter?
Thanks for any info you have

    1- yes
2-IGN reviewer has to be or when he wrote the review, no problem at all with the fielding, in fact, the fielding could be the best in any baseball game.
3- I have High Heat, and my advice is go and buy this game, if you like HH, you are gonna love MVP.

The batters are extremely accurate and realistic looking. Mo Vaughn is done better in this game than any other i've seen. This a really strong point in the game.

I don't think the fielding is bad at all. I haven't run into the problem IGN mentioned about fielder diving when they shouldn't and missing the ball. So far so good on that front. I am seeing some issues with fielders not applying the tags as you would expect, for both the CPU and my fielders. It's hasn't been horrible, and doesn't seem to happen all the time. But it is something that should be tweaked for next years go-around.

It's strictly timing based, but really, don't let that fool you. The pitches come in with the most realistic velocity and movement i've seen in any baseball game BY FAR! The timing is not as simple as it sounds. Also, you can use the analog pad to try to "place" the ball when you're swinging, and this will really have a lot to do with the success or failure of the hit. So just because you make contact, doesn't mean it's a sure hit.
