i have played all 4 games here are my rankings in each cat.
Graphics-(all 4 games have diff. versions of reds ballpark, which one is right?) lol
1.WSB (if you have HDTV WOW!)
2.ASB(doesnt support widescreen)
3.MVP (doesnt support widescreen)
4.HH04 (getting better, but still way behind the rest)
Gameplay-
1.HH04 (everything is so smooth and feels right)
2.WSB (Same as above)
3.MVP (throwing meter should be in all the games)
4.ASB (not great to say the least)(doesnt feel right)
Batting
1.MVP(the directional batting works perfect!)
2.WSB(as good as cursor batting will get)
3.HH04 (ok but you dont get the feel that have complete control)
4.ASB (pitch speeds to high, swing reaction to slow)
Franchise-there all very good)
1.WSB-(its all here)
2.ASB-(same)
3.HH04( same as where used to from 3do PC)
4.MVP (its not bad just a little thin compared to the rest, the franchise goals, manger momentum, and rivals are very cool!
Fun Factor-
1.MVP-this game is a bit arcadish but its a blast!)
2.WSB-
3.HH04-
4.ASB-i just feel releived after the game is over thats not right,its more fun messing with the franchise and bonus stuff then actually playing the games.)
Presentation-
1.WSB-ESPN license puts it over the top!, also the K zone is awesome!)
2.MVP- (everything is easy to read and i the only game the has a ticker which all sports games should have, and the baserunners windows are a nice touch.
3.ASB- ( I love the oldtime feel you get when moving threw the menus)
4.HH04 ( needs lots of work here!)
Bonus stuff-
1. ASB-( so much stuff i dont think ive seen it all yet, Im loving the scenerio mode!
2.MVP-The homerun showdown might be the best game mode addition in a sports game ever!
3.WSB-all the retro and alternate Uniforms are great plus you can chose when and which ones you and the cpu where!the only game with Big League Challenge!)
HH04- nothing much other then Roster downloads
my pick so far for the best game
1. WSB-The Best Lokking and playing game.
2. MVP-The most enjoyable to play.
3. HH04- you gotta love the Authenticity this game brings.
4. ASB04- the bonus feathers saved this game from being just a roster and stadium update.
closing comments:
all 4 games are well done but too me this is between MVP and WSB. I think having them both is a good idea the play and feel diff. to keep it fresh.!
