    Re: Dick__Smalls--some questions to you

I agree, and that's disappointing to hear that neither WSB or MVP have the ASB like pre-swing animations this year. At least I'll know that going in, maybe I won't miss it so much if I know what to expect. Then again, it's not like EA and Sega haven't been maing baseball games for 10 years now...wonder why they'd leave something like that out.

Thing I like most about the pre-swing animations is, when done right, they can add so much to the feeling that you're controlling a B. Bonds or a B. Giles for that matter. I still remember Konami's old baseball game that had Lenny Dykstra's pre-swing animation absolutely nailed. To think that that was a good 7-8 years ago, is really kind've sad.

dickie, what view are you using to bat? You may have said it in those long posts you put, but im just curious. I find that side view to be more challenging to hit the ball. Makes it more realistic...

I too was really disappointed to find the lack of preswing animation in MVP, and the cut-animation preswing in WSB. ASB has nailed this little insignificant, yet somehow desirable "feature" down pat. The swing is nice and smooth, but i really like that it prevents you from preswinging if it will interfere with your real swing.

These are minor issues, and not gamebreakers for me by any means, but like you DS, they are a neat little psychological routine that i like to do while getting ready to hit, and i miss seeing them.
