Damn, Sega has some REAL problems with giving people correct attributes....
All I can say is thank god you can edit in this game. Raul Mondesi, who has the most freakish throwing arm I've ever personally witnessed (and I've seen Vlady live too) has a SEVENTY-FOUR for arm power!! That's a joke. I upped it up to 100 and what a difference it makes. Another is Soriano, who hit 39 homers last year and has a 64-72 for homers and Giambi, who hit only 3 more at 42 last year, has 88-75 for homers. Can't figure that one out. Soriano also has a much lower batting average rating than Jeter, who he hot 15 points higher than last year. I know Soriano strikes out alot but Jeter does too and Sega has a seperate attribute for striking out. There are quite a few more problems, I'm gonna take a while editing each team cause Sega obviously doesn't watch too much baseball."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: Damn, Sega has some REAL problems with giving people correct attributes....
Ratings are in part predictions...who knows how well Soriano will hit this year after his break through year last year? To make him have huge power might prove to be a mistake...like if a baseball game made Brady Anderson have awesome power numbers after his 50 home run season. I think it's a fair point not to give someone monster ratings when he's only had one monster season.
As for the Mondesi throwing rating...I'm going to have to agree with you that a 74 is way too low. That's the only part of his game that is good, and they give him no love on that? -

Re: Damn, Sega has some REAL problems with giving people correct attributes....
Even though Soriano hit only three less than Giambi last year doesn't mean he's almost equivalent to Giambi power. I think they did a fairly good job rating based on player history. I personally don't want some guys with 80 power when they don't have more than great year. That's why they have the potential grade so the talented players have room to develop and their attributes don't become redicoulousy high after a few seasons.Comment
