Injury bug when playing a game. Fat Pitcher, Thougts? Anyone seen this?

Unless you have spent considerable time in software development and or QA, don't even think about making this statement. And if you had, you wouldn't say it.

The funny thing is, we found this bug and fixed it. The only thing I can think of is that the fix was done after the game was submitted to MS QA. We did fix a couple other things for PS2 only (Bobby Bonds single season strikeout record = 189, not 180, some minor audio stuff). I am 100% certain this bug isn't in the PS2 version, but I'm really surprised to see it's in either version.

When you found it, was it tied to certain circumstances within the game (Ex. One one on base, no outs, etc) or is it simply anyone injured while on base is taken off the base? Thx FP.

Yea, like the two out bug was found to be only a rareity depending on happenings in the game.

The only thing I can suggest you do is Save as soon as this happens. This will take you back to the beginning of the last half inning. It's not a total fix because you lose your hit but it's basically a do-over. I hope this is not in the PS2 version when I get it next week but the XBOX version has been really fun to play so far.

I think I'll just turn the injuries off altogether. No point using them if they don't work right.

Damn that sucks. But I knew there had to be a catch.. things were going too smoothly.

Is there some sort of Debug code cheat like in HH where you can dive in and manually plop the guy on 1b?

No, you can control the other team and give yourself a walk or a hit, but that's not the same. One more complicated way of putting things the way they should be:
- Save the game (to start your turn at bat over)
- Take control of both teams
- recreate whatever happened the first time (i.e. first batter strikes out, second batter gets a hit, this time he doesn't get injured)

The bug happens when a batter gets a hit other than a HR and an injury at the same time. This type of injury is not possible in the PS2 version.

Thanks for clearing that up FP..at least we know what to look for and if it's in a crucial situation where you HAVE to have that hit...you've given us a way to recify it.
