However, the bigger problem is that if the ball even "nicks" the zone, it's called a strike, every time. This results in less walks as a human, and causes the CPU to swing at almost anything. I know the sliders are there, but I think much of the problem could be fixed with a more realistic zone.

Strike zone too big?
Anyone else feel this way? They have the strike zone according to the rulebook standards (knees to letters when standing in a normal position), which in itself I don't agree with--that's not the way it's called most of the time.

Re: Strike zone too big?
I noticed that, too. When you are pitching, the ball just looks too big in proportion to the plate. It is very difficult to see movement on pitches, I think that contributes to the feeling that there is no clear cut boundary to the strike zone. Pitches over the plate could easily be outside the plate. -

Re: Strike zone too big?
I agree with the stike zone being too large. It's really hard to tell the difference between balls and strikes at times. I think the zone needs to be shrunk some more. Overall though, the game is really fun. I just need some more practice......

I agree. And, I should have pointed out, I have been both walking the CPU and receiving walks myself. I think I'll end up with the sliders pretty extreme as far as the CPU "eye" is concerned. Definitely not a huge problem, but I think it should be addressed/will be easy to address next year.Comment
