The top of the 8th:
The Soxs exploded. As James Baldwin always done when he was with the Soxs he'd give up some key walks. With the top of the order coming up and no outs Baldwin walks Harris and Valentine. Then Thomas comes up with a 2-1 count blast a 3-run homer to right center. Now the game is mine 4-0. KC brings in some relivers to retire the side.
In the bottom of the 8th:
Colon almost gave up a hit but my 3rd basemen Joe Crede make a spectacular catch and throw to rob a Joe Randa of a hit.
Top of the 9th:
The Soxs offensive explosion was not finshed yet. After the first two batters got out it looked like a routine 1-2-3 inning but Crede hits a single then Joe Borchard beat out a short grounder to first then Olivo hits a double to score Crede. 5-0. Harris hits a single to score Borchard 6-0 and then Valentine comes up a lifts a 3-run homer to right field to make it 9-0.
In the bottom of the 9th:
Colon started to scare me. He got his first out then he started walking batters. He finally got his second out but walked the next batter with bases loaded. Then finally he got the catcher to fly out to foul territory and game-set-match. No-hitter for Colon on opening day. Most important Soxs win 9-0.
