I haven't seen it, but didn't Gomes get on top of Crisp and punch the crap out of him? Shouldn't he get the most punishment.
I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

Naw, Crisp started the whole thing off the day before.. the entire thing happened when it really didn't need to because of him. Gomes should maybe have gotten 6 games.. but 1 game doesn't really matter.

Anyway why did Iwamura get suspended?? He got taken out the night before and I really didn't see him punch anyone during the brawl.

I didn't get that one either. Maybe he did something during the brawl. I thought Crawford should have gotten what Gomes did. The blows weren't as huge, but the intent the same.

On the Youk/Manny front, one source says the problem stems from Youk's temper tantrums after outs. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3429644

Damn if that's the reason.. that's pretty odd still. Manny bitch slapped a grown man.. I mean he really back handed him. It was kinda funny. They seem to have gotten over it though.. and I wouldn't be surprised if what the manager said is true.. that a lot of things happen that nobody sees.

I don't like the Red Sox, but I probably wouldn't despise Youkalis like I do if he didn't act like a 3 year old who has his toy taken away every time he gets out. Doesn't matter how it happens, you can bet on Youkalis pouting back to the dugout anytime he gets out. Times that by ten if he strikes out looking because god forbid an umpire call a strike when the "greek god of walks" thinks it's a ball. He needs to grow up. It's not just Youkalis, I hate it when Upton always stares or backtalks an ump a lot.

I hate it too, but then again, even I tend to do it time by time again, and I'm 19 years old. I'm not telling the umpire off, but I've learned my strike zone (especially the outside border) down to about a centimeter. I understand "expanding the zone" just for protection's sake, but it's for the player's uncertainty, not the umpire's. I don't ever believe an umpire should expand a zone for any player in any situation of any game ever, so when a pitch is out of the zone on the first pitch of the game or the last pitch, I'll let somebody know.

I especially love how guys like Durham get mad. Sure, they're right some times, but they have bad backing for it. Durham raises his arms like it's going to hit him on any inside pitch. Some go right over the inside for a strike, and he's still arguing like it's going to hit him, though it's still 14 inches away from his body. Pathetic. Man up and turn on that stinker. It's the best pitch you'll get all at bat.

As for Youk and Manny, normally a fight doesn't only happen from one attack, normally there is a comeback. I bet Youk said something back to Manny about his inability to run anything out, including the sac fly that even Bengie Molina would have scored on last night that he leisurely went to home plate on. Then Manny probably said, "That's just Manny being Manny." Then Youk probably said, "Well, I was just Youk being Youk." Then Manny said, "You can't steal that!" and threw a punch.

Iwamura was one of the 4 that jumped on Coco and tried to throw some punches. Ellsbury pulled him off pretty quickly though which is probably why he didn't get suspended for longer.

I know it's not even a start because of the off day, but I think it's ridiculous that Lester only got 1 game less than Shields. I thought everything else was fair though.
