Anyone had a player block a trade because he exercised his "10 and 5" clause??? Barry Larkin blocked a trade to my Seattle Mariners because of this and I loved it...totally realistic!!!

Sweet, I knew this was in the game, but I didn't see any talk of it in the ASB rulebook, unless I just missed it. I hadn't seen it yet, but good to know its there....this game has everything! I bought MVP yesterday to make sure I had the best game available, after playing MVP....no doubt ASB is the best game on the market....great gameplay, and outstanding franchise mode....This franchise mode goes beyond Madden with its realism! -

Yeah, my friend and I were just messing around with a fanchise with the Houston Astros, and we tried to trade Craig Biggio, and he invoked his 10 and 5 clause. It blew us away. I LOVE THIS GAME!

Just because I know someone will ask....10/5 rule is 10 MLB seasons and 5 with their current team. When you have put this many years of experience in, then you can block any trade. ie...Ivan Rodriguez...We Ranger fans are finding out how ahead of the game former GM Doug Melvin really was. He wanted to trade Pudge 2 years ago, but Tom Hicks said no...now we lose Pudge, and don't get anything in return. Melvin was surely ahead on the game....John Hart has ruined the Rangers with his all mighty of trade of Carlos Pena and Travis Haffner (two power lefty hitters which is what the ballpark was built for) and what did we get in return.....Mario Ramos?? Einar Diaz??? Ryan Drese?? Jason Hart?? Ugh!!! Soon I predict the Rangers will send Blalock, Colby Lewis and another to Kansas City for Beltran. Though Beltran is a great player....can we please keep our great talent and quit throwing them away? Ooops, sorry guys, this isn't a rip John Hart thread is it? Just getting some venting out of the way before the season starts.
