once you set custom sliders to your liking it saves it automatically. i play astros franchise and on allstar level with custom sliders in 74-77ranges, it is very realistic stats so far.
4 games in 3 Col. scores L 4-2 W 4-3 W 14-7 StL L 4-2.

Do you have the "CPU Throws Strikes" slider set in the 74-77 range? Wouldn't that mean that you would see very few balls? For me, i have this slider set much lower. I still haven't drawn a walk because i'm still getting used to the pitches, but i can't imagine getting 4 balls with that setting would happen very often.

I don't see the wisdom in having the cpu throw strikes slider at 74-76. But use this thread to see what sliders I'm using and post your own:

i have now set sliders a lot lower and becoming very patient.
i'm at pitching ability 74.
others set between 55-65

can you change the custom sliders in your franchise once you have already started the franchise? if so how? thanks

You have to back out of the franchise screen. Go to "game options"... here you can set your options and sliders. set your sliders first, then when you back out, it will automatically save them. then go back into your franchise game by loading it up again. go to "options".. set your difficulty level, then move down one where the sliders setting is, and make sure that says "custom".. set the rest of your options how you want them, then back out, and it will automatically save them. Now when you go to play the game, just check on the setting in the game start screen (where it shows the teams icons before starting the actual game) and make sure they took.. You should be set from here. I had trouble figuring this out myself when i first got the game, but this is the only way i know to do any of this. The only thing i noticed is if you save a game in between innings, you can go back and edit anything except the camera angle, i learned this the hard way and had to play an entire game with an angle i didnt like.
