People with PS2 Version, Whats wrong with base running?

I seriously cannot advance a guy inless I press L1 and that advances all guys and ends up fuggin up and getten outs, The manual says Trianlge+Direction but It simply will not work, Ive have damn near beaten my controller trying to get a guy to run. It really ruins the game and im SOOO glad I didnt buy it and rented it instead, This just kills the whole game for me. Otherwise I LOVE this game, The features and the pithcing are A+, The batting and fielding need some work but the base running is craptasitc! I seen better on atari..well maybe not but it damn close.

    *sigh*

Bases Loaded 0 single ended up being 3 outs on the one play because the runners are so buggy, I had boone run pased fred mcgriff cuz he was faster..it was just so horrid I shut it off and told my mom to take it back to blockbuster. damn what a way to ruin the game.

I had trouble at first also....but here's the deal. Promise it works! Push the triangle or circle button first and hold it down then push the dpad. Remember to push the direction that baserunner currently OCCUPIES. So, if you want him to go from 1st to 2nd, push and hold the triangle then push ->. You have to push the triangle or circle first though, and hold it down while pushing the dpad. Works everytime, if you have trouble with that, I found that the left analog stick works really well too, but I prefer the dpad. Good luck, let me know if I can help further.

Yeah, it's this way on XBOX as well. Took me a long time to figure it out, but there is deinitiely a way to do it.
