That's a yankee fan for you. Thinking the way to get a player to back off the plate is to hit them in their head. How about just brushing him back or hitting him on his a$$, genius.

How about finding some proof that Clemens hit him in the head on purpose?

Well, when Clemens hit Piazza in the head, Clemens was aiming to brush him back, but when a guy leans over the plate as much as Piazza does, and the ball is coming in at 95 or 96mph, he don't have the reflexes to get out of the way, hence, the ball hits him in the head. Had Piazza not leaned out so much, especially on the pitch in question here, it would have been a brush back. Clemens put the ball where he wanted it, Piazza just moved his head into the wrong spot. But if you've ever played semi-pro or pro ball, you would know the difference between being beaned intentionally, and a braushback attempt that the batter moved into. Check the footage out on the Clemens/Piazza deal, and you'll see what I mean. Me being a Yankee fan has nothing to do with the fact that Piazza leaned into a Clemens fast ball. If Clemens was trying to hit him, he would have gotten one in the back, like what Mota did last week. It is pretty obvious the Mota was throwing at him intentionally, and Piazza had every right to be pissed, but once again, don't confuse a failed brushback with an intentional beaning.

And the Yankees have 26 Championships in 100 years of existance, you do the math, thats more than 1 world championship every four years. No other SPORTS franchise has those kind of numbers. So when your teams can say they average a world series championship every 4 years, you will then be able to make statements like, "the Yankees suck".... Until then, keep expressing your jelousy.... It's what Yankee fans live to hear.... Its people like you guys that make Yankee fans the best in baseball.... in any sport for that matter... (except Green Bay Packer fans, they hold the crown for the best sports fans in any sport)
