pitches used like they are supposed to?

first off, i really like the game, but have one gripe so far about the pitching for strikeouts on all-star. it seems like the computer won't swing at anything out of the strike zone and certain pitches don't get utilized that much. for instance the splitter is a pitch that is hardly ever thrown up in the zone. thats were the cpu uses it alot and one of the best ways to get a strike against the cpu. i'm sure everyone has seen clemens or somebody else with a nasty splitter get guys to swing at picthes that end up in the dirt. that is how it is supposed to be thrown. its supposed to look like a low in the zone fastball that drops out of the zone making the hitter chase a low pitch. so far in mvp, this pitch has been changed from one that shouldn't be thrown in the strike zone to one that has to be thrown in the zone to induce a swing. in short throwing this pitch the way it is supposed to be thrown only results in balls.
