Trying to get to a Yankees game

I have only seen the Reds play when I was young, about 25 years ago. WOW I am getting old.
Anyways my wife and I are gonna renew our vows in July. We have been married for 16 years. She is a diehard Yankees fan but has never seen a MLB game live.

She is addicted to playing MLB The Show 08 on PS3. We have a great rivalry going on. I would like to get some tickets to a Yankees game somewhere between July 21-25. We will be renewing our vows on July19th. Then we have the entire week off from work.

On their website it shows a buy tickets button, but it keeps giving me no tickets available. Are they sold out or am I not doing something right. I do not need high dollar tickets, something in the Tier or bleachers area. As we will be driving up all the way from Smithfield, NC with gas over $4.00 a gallon.

I would really like to do this for her, she has no idea I am planning it. If they are sold out, does anyone know any tricks to get some tickets somewhere?

Thanks for any info / help.

You can get tickets at www.stubhub.com. I have got tickets off there a few times.

That's exactly what my wife and I just did. We flew in from Toronto for a day on Thursday to see Giambi hit his walk-off homerun.

My wife wasn't really a big baseball fan until she set foot in Yankee Stadium.

I was the same way as your wife. I never really cared for baseball, but I went to New York last July and saw the Yankees get pounded by the Rays, but it was probably my favourite sporting experience as a fan ever. Just the whole atmosphere of the building is amazing. I'm going back again this July to see the Yankees play the A's; Can't Wait!

CFL: BC Lions - I want my Rough Riders back!

Yea it's probably sold out. Stubhub or ebay is the way to go.
