anyone else having trouble hitting homeruns?

I played 5 games so far and hit one of the wall with craig wilson from the pirates, that the closed i came. and the computer has only hit one of me. other then that the game is impresive

Kinda, but with a strange caveat... In 5 complete games so far, I've hit 1 homerun. This morning, my 6 year old son hit 3 home runs with the Padres. So it can be done...

in a baseball sim i would much rather be on the low end of the stick as far as hrs then to hit way too many. i've managed to hit a few though. i feel like bonds, just waiting for the picther to serve up that big juice red mistake and then making them pay. i occassionally get a little overanxious though.

It is pretty ironic that we are complaining about the LACK of homeruns in a EA Baseball game. It seems almost as if EA made it harder to hit Homeruns on purpose. I think the homers will come the more you play.

In 4 games on Pro Mode I haven't hit any HR's. On Rookie Mode I hit 2 home runs and 2 doubles with Ryan Klesko in 1game, and just about every other hitter was 4 for 5. I think I'll stick with Pro Mode.

I hit 2 in the same inning with the Pirates for my only runs in a 6 - 2 loss. Both came off of Tucker (Mon) who was on in relief of Vasquez in the 8th inning. Both were opposite field shots where I had the stick pointed up and away. I had noticed Tucker was trying to stay outside on the hitters, so I basically guessed right. I also should note that I went down quietly in the 9th against him, so he adjusted his pattern, which I think is cool. So I think you really need to use the stick pointed up and hope you guess right.

i just got the game today. in my first game i was the expos against the cubs. I hit one HR with Wilkerson, and Vladdy hit two foul balls homerun distance. Mark Belhorn also took Tucker deep. Time for game 2.....
