A look at hitting

Just a little observation:

I switched from Classic to Normal batting last night in my Astros franchise. I play on Veteran with Exaggerated pitching.

I played against the Brewers with Sheets pitching. I won the game 4-1 in the 10th.

I really like normal batting now. I stuck out 13 times(yikes!), but I also ended up with 14 hits and 1 HR(Berkman). I had quite a few balls that ran down the line at first and ended up in the corner for a Triple.

I also had three walks late in the game.

Normal batting got a lot better once I started to watch the pitches more. There were a few times against Sheets that I ended up with a 3-1 count. That is where Berkman got his HR. Sheets sent a curve right down the middle of the plate(low in the zone) where I was waiting with my nice power cursor.

I think I may be donw with classic now. I like being able to better place my shots. I had a lot more quality hits last night.

You'll get better at it. I agree. I really think the game gets exponentially better when using normal.

Can you still hit homeruns with normal cursor and don't switch to power cursor? The reason I like classic cursor is because it is in how you hit the ball, not whether you have chosen a power swing or not.

You can definitely hit homers with the normal cursor. If you hit the ball in the power part of the icon, you'll put some juice in it.

Awesome, thanks. Looks like I will be trying that tonight. I don't plan on using any of the 3D aspects of it though. I save that for homerun derby

Other teams beware, I've mastered the art of power hitting... with normal cursor...

I like normal cursor, I have more control over how i hit.
