Re: Anyone with widescreen tv and has this game please respond!
I am playing it on a 65 inch Mitsubishi Widescreen, and it doesn't look too shabby. Not as pretty as WSB, which is obvious. My tv has I think 4 dfferent modes that will make MVP fill the screen (480i standard, expand, zoom and stretched) and one with the original aspect ratio (narrow, wth gray bars on the left and right sides).
So far, the best looking setting I found was the 480i standard mode. It doesn't look perfect, but the picture is hardly distorted at all.
Just mess around with your format and you will find one that is acceptable. -

Yeah I have a 47 inch WS and don't notice anything at all. The players are kinda fat look in this game on a normal screen so maybe that is what you are seeing. The WSB are much skinnier. Good luck.Comment

I have played it on my 65" hdtv and my 43" plasma. Looks ok to me. I also have WSB running in 720p on the plasma and damn is it pretty. To bad I like MVP more.Comment

Re: Anyone with widescreen tv and has this game please respond!
I've played both WSB 2k3 and MVP on my 65" Mitsubishi (Plat Plus model).
Unfortunately, WSB 2k3 is 16:9 ONLY in the HD resolution (720p), and NOT when played at 480p. I believe this is the first HD game that isn't 16:9 at both 720p and 480p, and it totally sucks (since most HDTV's can't display 720p).
That said, they both stretch fairly well, and I typically switch my format back and forth between the normal full mode (16:9) and narrow mode (4:3). Obviously, 4:3 looks a little better because everything isn't fat looking, but I stretch it out to 16:9 every inning or two just to move the static images around.Jon
