Ok cool, you can use the legends...but how? I have looked and all I can see are the regular rosters to use. Can anyone tell me how to use the legends in the Big League Challenge? I know I must be missing something.

OK nevermind...I just realized that they are listed in the MLB view but not by teams...which is what I was looking for. Sorry 'bout that.

        Hey guys,

Can someone answer this ? for me. Does the simulation take into effect the ratings when generating statistics. I have tried to test this and I don't think it does. Which is HORRIBLE!!! I have tried editing players to see if their stats change dramatically and they don't. Also has anyone noticed that its very rare for a starting pitcher to get 20 + wins??

        PLEASE RESPOND.

        Thanks,

        Brian

            Poonox:

It IS based on how they play, however, there is MORE. They play by their coaches, loyalty, potential, statistics (like you said), and more. Have FatPitcher say the rest.

BTW, what team are you? It depends on who you are... THEN a SP will get 20+ wins if it's a good team... otherwise, don't count on it.

                Re: FatPitcher - Questions/Comments Thread

I'm using Arizona and simming, but have seen Randy Johnson get 20 wins once and he was the most I've ever seen. The leader is usually around 17 wins. The average Cy Young winner has at least 20 victories in a season. This seems to be a major oversite, as SP get no more than 32-33 and no matter what I have tried I can't get consistently over 20 wins with any pitcher. This makes the game somewhat disappointing and points to the fact that we still need a game that allows for SIMULATION sliders ( I know HH2004 has it, but that game doesn't compare to WSB franchise options). It makes you wish that you could take ASB franchise options, MVP's batting interface and graphics, WSB Franchise and season options, and HH2004's statistic realsim (other than batter's fatigue) all into one title. I can dream can't I.

                    Do your research.

                    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/...mp;type=pitch1

                    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/...mp;type=pitch1

6 last year, 7 the year before last. The reason it is extremely rare is because it IS extremely rare. I quickly simmed a season--5 had 20+ wins. Pretty realistic I think.

You got 5 with 20 plus wins which I would have no problem with, but I get one maybe. I have the PS2 versoin of the game and the most I normally get is 19 at the most usually by Pedro. Which pitchers in your sim results got 20 or more victories and have you edited them in away?? Thanks,

                        Brian

BTW, I did my research and 13 (combined in two years) is a lot more than 1 in 2 years of my simming just now (yup, only Pedro, 20 on the button)
