This message is mainly for those REAL baseball fans around the country who've gotten wind of the sheer lunacy, stupidity and the asinine things way too many so-called Mets fans and Mets liars have been saying about the team, Mr. Randolphm the GM and the Wilpons.
Here's the latest:
Tonight's game between the Rangers and Mets has been rained out. It was to be Gabbard vs. Pedro. The game will be rescheduled as part of a regular (as opposed to day/night) doubleheader for tomorrow...starting around 1:15pm.
Anyway....
About 15 minutes or so, before the game was cancelled, Mets beat reporter and sometimes Mets annnouncer Ed Coleman, while doing his rain delay gig on radio, noted that Milton Bradley, Josh Hamilton, David Murphy, Chris Shelton and a few other Rangers, ran out in the rain and had a fun time sliding all over the rain soaked tarp.
The crowd got into it so much that at one point you could hear over the radio chants of, "Let's go Rangers...clap, clap, clapclapclap..."
After the game was cancelled and after a few commercials, Ed Coleman continued hosting his regular call-in show. As I type this, There have been NO LESS than three A******* who have called up and actually BLAMED either Randolph and/or Mets management for 'lack of fire' and 'lack of passion' with the Mets players because (are you ready for this?) none of the Mets players ran out onto the tarp.
Are these idiots kidding me?
I've lived here in NYC ALL of my life, and I've been a Mets fan since 1968 and I'm telling you...this is amongst the ALL-TIME gutter low. In spite of all that Randolph has to endure, now you have fans COMPLAINING and wanting to BLAME Randolph because his players don't run out onto a rain slicked tarp...
Un-****ing-believeable....
You can't make this stuff up folks. That is why when you hear some talking heads spew the nonsense about New York fans are the most knowledgeable in the nation...I just shake my head. It is certainly FAR removed from the truth. You're talking a computer age, next-gen fans (or so-called fans) and people who have a 16 game football mentality/fatality, when they should have a 162 game outlook.
