I am Going To Put Some Sorry-*** Mets Fans On Blast

along with those that sympathize in this instance.

This message is mainly for those REAL baseball fans around the country who've gotten wind of the sheer lunacy, stupidity and the asinine things way too many so-called Mets fans and Mets liars have been saying about the team, Mr. Randolphm the GM and the Wilpons.

    Here's the latest:

Tonight's game between the Rangers and Mets has been rained out. It was to be Gabbard vs. Pedro. The game will be rescheduled as part of a regular (as opposed to day/night) doubleheader for tomorrow...starting around 1:15pm.

    Anyway....

About 15 minutes or so, before the game was cancelled, Mets beat reporter and sometimes Mets annnouncer Ed Coleman, while doing his rain delay gig on radio, noted that Milton Bradley, Josh Hamilton, David Murphy, Chris Shelton and a few other Rangers, ran out in the rain and had a fun time sliding all over the rain soaked tarp.

The crowd got into it so much that at one point you could hear over the radio chants of, "Let's go Rangers...clap, clap, clapclapclap..."

After the game was cancelled and after a few commercials, Ed Coleman continued hosting his regular call-in show. As I type this, There have been NO LESS than three A******* who have called up and actually BLAMED either Randolph and/or Mets management for 'lack of fire' and 'lack of passion' with the Mets players because (are you ready for this?) none of the Mets players ran out onto the tarp.

    Are these idiots kidding me?

I've lived here in NYC ALL of my life, and I've been a Mets fan since 1968 and I'm telling you...this is amongst the ALL-TIME gutter low. In spite of all that Randolph has to endure, now you have fans COMPLAINING and wanting to BLAME Randolph because his players don't run out onto a rain slicked tarp...

    Un-****ing-believeable....

You can't make this stuff up folks. That is why when you hear some talking heads spew the nonsense about New York fans are the most knowledgeable in the nation...I just shake my head. It is certainly FAR removed from the truth. You're talking a computer age, next-gen fans (or so-called fans) and people who have a 16 game football mentality/fatality, when they should have a 162 game outlook.

RAZR...I am fed up with stupidity...all time stupidity...this is the reason why the FCC or advertisers should be pressured to KILL sports talk radio altogether...or at the least, KILL the call-in aspect.

Congrats on your 4,000th post. I know what you mean about the media. They have a way for hyping things up. This must be really distracting for the mets and mets fans. Hopefully this blows over soon.

          @ RAZR

I never look at that number much..and didn't even know I made 4,000. But I thank you for the acknowledgement...

Here in NYC Metro area (NYC proper, Long Island, Northern New Jersey & Southern Connecticut), it's not only the media, it's a majority of callers to the two sports tak stations we have.. Literally 24 hours of callers....virtually everyday...who get on the air...and spew things that have no right to even be broadcast. I won't even get into it now, but there are things I could post that would make YOUR head spin....

Yeah, those fans are pretty dumb to not realize that there is huge problems and dissension in the Mets clubhouse right now for them to go and play "slip n slide" on the tarp.

hey, I have zero problem with that at all....good for them....honestly

but for some factions out here to blame Randolph for not having the Mets players do the same thing, it reprehensible

I don't get how people can be so stupid...like...are you kidding me? Yes, fire Willie because his players wanted to stay dry and passed on the slip'n'slide tarp, what intelligent and logical thinking.

hey man, fans are dumb everywhere. I was listening to 700 WLW, the Reds station, after a game one night and one guy called in saying that they needed to trade Aaron Harang. His basis was that Harang's win-loss record was terrible this season and because of that he is no longer a good pitcher. I could only shake my head at the ignorance of that caller.

Hmmm...what the PD's (program directors) should learn to do, is put it into the head of their respective air personalities that stupidity shall NOT rule...NO exceptions

That caller makes up the majority of baseballs fans unfortunately, as well as a sizable portion of the "professional" sports writers.

Sports radio brings out the "nuts" of the world. It seems everyone with the "I can run the team better" mentallity can call. They need to give IQ tests to some of these guys (I mean, one guy wanted Juan Marichal to replace Willie - the dude's 70 + years old!).

I really only listen to it on my way to and from work. There are decent callers, but the stupid ones outrank them on about a 9-to-1 scale.
