wind meter is a bit off

was playing at comiskey field in chicago, and the wind meter had it pointing towards center field at around 13 miles per hour, but when I field pop ups, it kinda looks like its going sideways, anyone notice that?

Yea, i noticed that the direction it blows has almost nothing to do with the direction it says it will blow. I dont care tho, long as we got wind that works. And it seems powerful. It looks like it will turn some fair balls foul and vice versa.

I'm noticing a lot of balls looking like they are being blown sideways. I think it's actually the movement of the camera as it tracks the ball after a hit.

I've seen balls blowing up into the sky and disappearing.....haha just kidding. I have noticed them moving a bit with the wind, but I think it is just like a real game. I will have to pay more attention to this tonight.

having not played the game yet, im going on your description, and i think i may still be able to help you answer that.... if you ever watch a game, you'll notice when fly balls are hit, say for ex: by a left handed batter, it will always roll off the bat with a leftfield spin to it if you hit it dead to center or to left. this is why if you ever sit along the line at a low enough level to where the ball is above you the entire length of flight, it will steadily float towards you, thats why so many balls that start off welll fair down the line, and up foul... pulling the ball still has the same motion of spin, but not enough to affect it because the batter would have gotten more weight behind his swing... try to pay attention to the batter (LH or RH) and the direct the ball starts going when it leaves the bat, no matter how strong the wind is or the direction, it the natural spin on the ball that can create enough resistance to give the ball a slight sideways direction while in the air.
