    I really like the "feeling"........

Kinda hard to describe, i've only played two games so far, but already it seems like there is something special when a top dog comes to the plate. The crowd seems to get more lively and my interest level jumps. It was particularly sweet with Vladdy in the Big O. They've captured him perfectly, no batting gloves, perfect stance, big, tall, strong. he just looks like a stud. And he hit the ball solidly, even the foul balls felt nice. And you gotta love seeing that red all over the strike zone when your best hitter is up. Just like they said, EA has done a great job on the batter/pitcher duel....

AGREE COMPLETELY about the energy of the pitcher-batter matchup when a stud hitter is at the plate. First game I played of the game, which was last night, I was the Yankees and I was (somehow) up two runs on the Angels with two out in the eighth. Karsay on the mound, Angels have runners on first and second, Glaus comes up as the go-ahead run and you could totally feel it. It was in Anaheim and it felt louder all of a sudden. I had already decided to try and let Karsay finish the inning, but when Glaus came up I totally chickened out and brought in Rivera. Maybe it's just me, but at the time it seemed like it got even louder when I brought Mo in. Great at-bat, and I got Glaus to pop out in foul territory.

Pretty much hooked me on the game right then and there.

Meanwhile, the Angels came back to tie it up in the bottom of the ninth and then won it in the tenth.....but I'm not ready to talk about that yet.

The pitcher/batter interface is just awesome. I played a couple games of MVP and then popped WSB in and the pitching in WSB just wasn't doing it for me. Not that there's anything wrong with WSB's pitching interface, but its pretty much the same as any other baseball game I've ever played. It's so cool to actually be in control of whether or not your pitcher will make a good pitch. It adds a whole new dimension to baseball games.

I'm also not crazy about cursor hitting (and the cursor-off hitting seems over simple when the analog stick doesn't do anything). Hitting is about reaction, not about aiming.

The WSB franchise mode does look pretty sweet though (and the graphics look great), so I need to spend some more time with WSB before I decide which game will get the most PT.
