Ed Wade is a bitch, this isn't surprising, a lot of players get pissed at him, Chacon is a very underated pitcher good sinker, a change of scenary is needed a team will take a chance on him.

I've heard a few stories, he thinks he's hot stuff, reminds me of the Florida Marlins GM, hard to get a long with, just trade his ***, or release him if he isn't happy, the Stros have noone beter anyway, so why not leave him in there.

I've heard a few stories, he thinks he's hot stuff, reminds me of the Florida Marlins GM, hard to get a long with, just trade his ***, or release him if he isn't happy, the Stros have noone beter anyway, so why not leave him in there.

He's been getting hammered lately and since he has bullpen experience, was the best choice to send to the pen. He's been a closer as well as a starter, so the move made sense.

I understand not liking it if he wants to start, but hey, he's been put in the bullpen on every club he's been on.

Attacking the GM is idiotic on a level that can't be explained.

Speaking as a Phillies fan....LOL @ this story. Wade, in addition to being an absolute pinhead, is a small little egoist with a heavy case of "little man" syndrome and a short temper. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Yep. There's a very good reason for that. He sucked as a starter on the Pirates, but did well out of the bullpen. He can go through the lineup 1 time, but that's about it.

Anyhow, stupid career move. Nothing positive can come of is in the short-term.

supposedly it's now being said that Wade basically verbally assaulted Chacon during the meeting (before he went WWE style). While no excuse, the GM shouldn't be doing that either, and Wade has a rep for doing stuff like that

He'll likely get signed somewhere. The Yankees and Mets have pitching depth issues and quite a few teams could use him as a reliever. Not the brightest career move but it got him out of the sinking disaster that is the Houston Astros.
