The problem is I know how to pitch. I've known how to pitch in every ASB every year. 2002 gave me a ton of problems with pitching, and I stopped playing it after about a month, but in 2003 I can ace the teams on rookie. And that's my idea of rookie difficulty level. If you want to give up 10 hits once in every 30 games and get a ton of k's, go with rookie. But that's not the case with this game. I've only had this game for less then a week, but there is absolutely no reason why I should be having as much trouble as I'm having.
A particularly good example was with the 2nd scerio involving the Mets. I was supposed to take the lead and finish out the game with a win. So I took the lead with 2 runs in the 6th. They tied it in the 7th. I took a 1 run lead in the 9th. They tied it. I took a 7 run lead in the 11th. I thought I had it won. But no. They came back 7 runs cutting through Armando Benetez, Mark Guthrie, and Al Leiter, all of whom were fully warmed up when they entered. They hit everything. Cold zone, hot zone, fastballs away, fastballs up and in, changeups away, curves down in the zone, everything. So I took the lead again in the 14th by a run. Then they tied it again. Then they hit a grand slam home run to win it. I'm just so frusterated. If I can't find some sort of winning strat to pitching I'm going to return this game.
Please, someone convince me not to.
