    Re: Batting View?

I started with the default angled batting, and while it looks cool, the straight behind the catcher angle is much better for reading the pitches.

I use aerial. It gives you a good feel for how big the outfields are and how much ground you need to cover. I'm also taking better angles to the ball with it. You lose some player detail because the camera is far away, though.

the aerial fielding camera is the same one that was used in almost all the pre release video clips, wasn't it?

So far, I have been using a combo of zoom (default) and broadcast views, but I don't like when you hit a homer and can't see the ball, so I think I want to try the aerial cam, because I liked the way it looked on the movie clips.

I am, its supposed to simulate the match ups between leftys vs leftys, rightys vs rightys. So if your lefthanded and have a righty at the mound, you can see the ball the whole way there. It takes some geting use too but I forced myself to play with it because I like the idea. Im getting hits and HR's now. One good moment is when I pulled a HR with Griffey off a left handers inside fastball; talk about a split second swing.

yup. The first time I pitched with a lefty, it had an entirely different feel to it. I use aerial fielding, default batting, and I switch between default ptiching and BTP cam from time to time.

                <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

How do you pitch with the behind the catcher camera. I cant find out how to do that and have only been using the behind the pitcher one. Thanks!

I switched to aerial view fielding after playing a few games on zoom. I can see which fielder I'm controlling faster in aerial view, and can take better angles to the ball. I had a lot of balls rolling past my outfielders in zoom.
