A final thought on CPU pulling pitchers early

I thought I better do my homework on pitcher stamina before I get ahead of myself.

It seems the avergae outing for your better pitchers is around 6-7 innings. I could pull up a lot of games that show pitchers getting pulled in the 2, 3, and 4 innings.

Playing some more tonight I think the CPU is a little over anxious in some cases. More than likely the CPU doesn't have the information on the star pitchers to leave them in becuase they are going to calm down. It's not perfect and they do tend to pull them at the first sign of trouble and not let them work it out. I guess the CPU can't handle human intuition??

Anyway I think it's beleivable but not perfect.

yeah they do pull picthers early too early sometimes but stamia doesn't really do that much damage to most of the good starting picthers

In my first game of the season, Cubs vs. Mets, I, the Cubs, scored 5 runs off of Glavine in the first two innings. After that he was pulled. It was obvious he wasn't having a good game because in the second game of the season it wasn't Leiter who started. It was Glavine, and boy was he on his game. He struck out 6 of the first 10 batters he faced. Anyhow, the point is the CPU seems to pull at good times in my opinion. If I were the Mets team I would have also pulled Glavine at that time.

On my side of the table, Wood went seven innings. I tried being less effective and more accurate and it seems to help pace your pitcher. However, if done at the wrong times it will cost you.

Yes, Freddy Garcia of the Mariners pitched a complete 9 inning game against me (Rangers). He had 9 IP, 10 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K's.

Steve Sparks threw a complete game on me

I have only encountered this problem once when James Baldwin got pulled in the third inning, I had a few hits but I had not scored yet..
