Re: The feature I am addicted to in MVP
My favorite aesthetic (sp?) thing is that the ball and bat actually make contact with each other."If y’all see me in the news, and I make the news for something that I ain’t got no business making it for, don’t bash me. Say it was a young guy living."

Amen! and when you make solid contact you really "feel" it. Just like that guy said in the interview a few days ago.Comment

i agree Checkmate. Why other games overlook this, or don't think it's important, is beyond me.

I was thinking about this yesterday and my theory is that in other games, the math logic programmed into the game will determine what happens and that is how a "sim-like" game is accomplished.
In MVP, if you have a keen eye, you may exceed what may be deemed as realistic stats, but it leaned more in favor of your skill rather than the math logic.
For MVP, I think that the player ratings (velocity and movement of ball for pitchers vs. contact and hot/cold zones for batters) comes into play right after you've made contact with the ball (assuming you've hit it of course). In other games, the player ratings will determine whether or not you "get a hit" because you don't actually always make contact with the ball.
I'm no programmer and I'm not a "hardcore" baseball gamer, but that is my basic theory of the game.
I especially lilke the strikeout replays because you get to see when you swung too early or too late at the ball."If y’all see me in the news, and I make the news for something that I ain’t got no business making it for, don’t bash me. Say it was a young guy living."

Re: The feature I am addicted to in MVP
The K replays are the best. I don't think i have struck out as many times on any game in my life, than i am on this game. I love the way the pitcher curls his lip and almost looks like he is grunting when throwing, their faces look soooo realistic. Last night i got plunked in the leg. And Omar had a look on his face like OOOOOOWWWWWWW. He actually looked like he was in pain.Comment

Re: The feature I am addicted to in MVP
The K replays and all other replays and the contact of bat on ball are something else.I don't know why but I love the graphics too. How about the pitching and throwing meters and the HR Derby(I would like HR's to count more than +100).Comment
