    Re: Why throw Balls?

I gave it another whirl this morning, and have been trying to like the game, but I just can't get into it. It appears no one else is experiencing this problem with their pitching, so maybe I'm just bad, or they're rationalizing their purchases. Regardless, I'llI put all my comments to rest because no one appears to be very receptive of them.

And, why is someone that offers valid comments about a game considered a troll?
It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic.

Something I've found to help get the CPU to swing at a bad pitch is to throw a bad pitch NEAR a hot zone. If I get someone down 0-2 I've had a lot of luck getting them to chase a ball near one of their hot zones. It seems like they are much more aggressive near a hot zone.

You have to *think* like a pitcher. I struck out the side with Matt Morris in my first franchise game last night. In fact, I had 7 k's with him on All-Star in 5 innings. I find that the better you stop on the pitching meter, the more movement your pitch will have, thus a better chance for a K.
