Lately, it seems that debate over whether a stealing bug does exist or not has taken over the WSB portion of the forums.
Assuming there is a bug, I still don't understand what all the panic is about. If you have fun exploiting bugs in the game to win games by stealing every base, then by all means do.
However, for those of you that are looking for a realistic baseball experience, why not just use some restraint and not send every single runner, only to come back to the forums and complain about it.
No game is perfect, and this stealing bug, while annoying, seems like it can be overcome with just a little restraint and common sense.
Mo Vaughn shouldn't be stealing any bases, so don't send him knowing he will be safe every time. That is unless you are striving for an unrealistic game.
Bugs will always be in console games. It's unfortunate, but it's the truth. From what I have gathered so far there are no "major bugs" that would prevent one from purchasing the game.
If the stealing issue is the reason you are thinking of not buying the game, or returning it, that is fine. But to me it just seems like this stealing thing isn't an issue at all if you practice some restraint and don't send every single runner on your team to steal bases.
This is assuming of course that the stealing bug does exist, and as of right now, I am not convinced it does.
I will hopefully be picking up the PS2 version next week and will be able to check for myself. If it is there, I will deal with it. If it's not, then I will be pleased to see the panic had been for nothing.
