    He is for real.

    Pat Strange
    ETA: 2003 / Age: 22 / DOB: 8/8/80
    Projected 2003: Mets/AAA-Norfolk
    2002 Stats:
    10-10 3.82 165 inn, 165 H, 109 Ks, 59 BB at AAA Norfolk

Strange has been fast tracked through the Mets system and has adjusted and pitched effectively at every level, despite being 2 or 3 years behind the average age level at every stop on the ladder. Strange has a heavy sinking mid-90s fastball, and a major league quality arsenal of breaking and offspeed pitches. He has occasional trouble with the longball when he gets up in the strike zone instead of staying down with his sinking heater. He has regressed a little with regard to his walks as the Mets have been tinkering with his mechanics as he has a violent throwing motion that the Mets feared would lead to injury. His command appeared to return as he pitched last season and became for accustomed to his revamped mechanics.

I like Strange a lot to bad they don't let him throw is splitter any longer. I think it would help him greatly as a strike out pitch.
