How is the trade AI?
Are you able to rip-off the CPU? How about trades between CPU teams - are there illogical ones in there? I'm about to go to the store and pick this baby up, but I'm hoping this doesn't blow it for me.Tags: None -
Re: How is the trade AI?
The CPU offered me Roy Oswalt for J.D. Drew. Houston wanted an outfielder and I need an ace. It was one of those where based on ability it makes sense, but in real life Drew has been too injury prone for a deal like this to occur. So, it wasn't a totally ridiculous trade. Most of the other trade offers I got when I simmed a season were either for Tino Martinez or involved guys on the inactive roster. So no one was trying to get Pujols from me or anything. Trade offers are random and scattered until about 2 weeks before the trade deadline, then a lot of offers are proposed those last two weeks. Again, nothing completely out of the ordinary."If y’all see me in the news, and I make the news for something that I ain’t got no business making it for, don’t bash me. Say it was a young guy living."

Re: How is the trade AI?
I haven't really seen a big blockbuster, also no big rip-offs. I was able to get Vernon Wells from Toronto for Ellis Burks straight up, but Burks is rated higher, but the Comp. doesn't take age into factor becasue Burks is 38 and Wells 24Comment

Only seen 1 for 1 trades. Are there multiple player trades?
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
yup. I've been offered 1-1, 2-2, and 3-3 trades. More multiplayer deals were offered when I got close to the deadline when I simmed a season. Usually they'll be like 1 starter and 2 inactive guys. But you can always review the deal and negotiate instead of just declining it."If y’all see me in the news, and I make the news for something that I ain’t got no business making it for, don’t bash me. Re: How is the trade AI?
I was messing around with the negotiations to see how the AI was. Pujols wanted to re-sign for 3 years and around 1200 points per. I kept offering him a lower deal with more years and he eventually refused to negotiate. I ended up having to overpay him to the tune of 11 years, 3,000 points per. I could have gotten for lower I'm sure, but I offered him something extremely high to see if he would still refuse to negotiate. When I offered it to him, a pop-up appeared saying that he "grudgingly accepts the offer.""If y’all see me in the news, and I make the news for something that I ain’t got no business making it for, don’t bash me. Houston must hate their pitchers because they offered me Wade Miller for Aramis Ramirez. IMO you always take the quality pitcher over position player.
Not only that, but Ramirez was scheduled to make over 1000 points per year for three or four years, while Miller was making a 100 for one year.
I simply resigned Miller for 7 years, around 300 points per.Comment
