I have played 6 games and I have not hit one homerun!!!!

Im using the standard hitting and I am using the Braves. They have some decent power but I havent knocked one out yet.. I have hit two to the track but they just dont seem to be going out. Is it impossible to hit one without using the power meter swing?

It is possible, I hit one with Vinny Castilla in my first game. It will happen more with the power swing though.

I hit one my first game a solo shot i only had 4 hits a nd lost 6-1 the fastballs are really fast especialy after a curve or change up and that is throwing my timing off just as it should in real baseball. Also go practice in the Home Run Challege derby thing

I've hit a few. I've played six games so far and hit two or three. I hit one with Mike Cameron of the Mariners and one with Barry Bonds. I think I hit one more, but I don’t recall who with. All of them came with the power swing button on standard hitting. I use it a few times a game in spots where I could really use a home run. Or sometimes I'll swing with power the first two strikes and then use contact after that to protect from strikeouts.

I really could have used a HR out of Bonds in his last at-bat last night. I was down 7-5 in the top of the 9th at San Diego with two outs, two runners on and Bonds at the plate. He whacked a couple pretty well but foul and ended the game by taking strike three looking. That hurt.

there isnt a problem with the hitting it is just much harder now to hit and hit HR then last year its more realalistic now

Have you guys tried the new power meter swing? I saw one review (IGN I think) that said that was a good one to use for the Big League Challenge, so I assume it's good for hitting HRs. I haven't checked it out yet.
