    Why all the low ratings?

Seriously, what game are these people playing? I can see HH being rated higher (not for any particular reason, but I think it comes close to matching ASB in gameplay).

But, for instance, IGN has MVP and WSB rated higher. WSB has a 9.1. 9.1? Are you kidding me? For what, the good graphics? It's a good game, but it ain't that much better than ASB, I can tell you that for sure.

I wonder what the preferences are for people who have played or watched baseball extensively, as opposed to those that are just ESPN Sportscenter highlight watchers. I played and coached, and have watched and read about baseball extensively (I highly suggest Pure Baseball: Pitch by Pitch for the Advanced Fan, by Keith Hernandez), and ASB replicates better than any other game.

It's not perfect--I think the batter/pitcher interface could use some work, but I was able to find ways to make it very realistic, by turning off all of the aids.

I just don't understand it. Any thoughts?

Well, I'll say this. I read the reviews, and read what you all have been posting, and I just bought ASB. Even though WSB got better ratings, I think I'll trust you guys since you've been playing for fun and not to review.

BUT, before I take this baby home and fire her up, could you just clarify something for me. Does the pitcher performance change as they get fatigued? And how long does a typical pitcher last in a game? Last year I heard it was 4 to 5 innings. True or false this year?

    Hello, by the way.

Hey swine. Pitcher performance definitely changes with fatigue. Hits become much more prevalent in the 6-8th innings, from what I have seen.

I've had a couple games where I got shelled early, but most of the time, I am able to go (as is the CPU pitcher) at least 6-7 innings.

Let us know what you think. Have fun!!
