This is my first post here and I first wanted to say thanks to everyone who has been providing insight on the game. I was unsure whether I should wait to get WSB or just get MVP (I have a ps2). After reading what everyone said I ran to the store lol and I love the game...anyways, the bug I noticed: when you hit a groundball to the first baseman he will sometimes pick the ball up and run towards the stands for some reason allowing you to get an infield hit...anyone else have this happen?

No I haven't seen it yet. What I have been running into the more I play the game is the fielder getting the ball and not tagging my base runner for the out. I just finished playing a game where I had my runner try and take third after a hit and run.
The outfielder threw the ball to third and I thought well there goes an out. Wrong ! The third baseman never applied the tag and my runner was half way to third base.
So being the sportsman I had my guy picked of at third. The other thing I've noticed is the so-called Madden rubberband CPU logic. I had the Indians playing the Red Sox. Quite a mismatch. I was leading in the 8 inning 1-0. All of a sudden in the bottom of the eight the RED Sox CPU woke up and scored 2 quick runs. After that I was able to shut down the side. I lost 2-1.......things that make you go ....hmmmmmmm !

This has been said before but it's true... Use fielding assist and most your player control and animation problems seem to go away. You only control the throwing strength.

You know that's a good point. Maybe I'm jumping the gun here. It did only happen once. But being familiar with Madden and the NCAA series I've seen it way too many times in their other Sports games including NHL2003.
But all in all it's a real fun game. Maybe it leans on the arcade side a bit but it's 200% better than the Triple Play Series. Solid first effort from EA.Comment

You know that's a good point. Maybe I'm jumping the gun here. It did only happen once. But being familiar with Madden and the NCAA series I've seen it way too many times in their other Sports games including NHL2003.
